Welcome to the team: meet EdgeRed's newest starters
We are excited to welcome five new faces to our team, kicking off a strong start to the financial year.
Ian Nguyen – Partner, Enterprise Go-to-Market
Ian Nguyen is a Partner leading Enterprise Go-to-Market for Omnia / EdgeRed. He works with organisations to turn AI, data and security ambitions into practical initiatives that can be delivered, adopted and scaled.
Before joining the firm, Ian was an AI and Security Partner at V2 AI and held senior roles across Deloitte, Transgrid and Westpac. His experience spans consulting, utilities, financial services and applied AI, giving him a practical understanding of how large Australian organisations assess, invest in and implement new technology.
Having worked across both client and vendor environments, Ian brings a grounded perspective to technology transformation. He focuses on helping organisations cut through the noise, define initiatives that solve real business problems and create a clear path from strategy through to delivery.
Ian joined the business because of its bias for action: bringing together the people who shape the strategy with the people who deliver it.
Outside work, Ian enjoys road cycling, wine, listening to music, following & playing sport with his family.
Daniel Lim – Lead Data Engineer
Daniel has joins us from TelstraSuper having also previously worked at DuluxGroup managing data platforms as well as leading and mentoring data engineers. He brings deep technical expertise in data engineering and enjoys working on simplifying complex data requirements into solutions to answer business questions. He joined to experience the various technologies and projects across the different industries the team is involved in.
Off the clock, he spends most of his time keeping his five year old busy or playing pickleball.
Chaithra Kumar – Senior Consultant, Data Engineering
Chaithra has joined us from Snowflake, having previously worked at Montu as a Data Engineer. She brings strong technical expertise in data engineering and AI, along with a passion for solving complex problems and translating business requirements into effective data solutions.
Chaithra has a Master’s background in Data Science and Computer Science. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym and staying active.
Gaurav Kamble – Data Analyst
Gaurav did his Master of IT and IT Management at the University of Sydney, and has worked as a data analyst in both India and Sydney, plus a stint as a teaching assistant at USYD. He likes turning messy data into something people can actually use, and he’d rather build a fix than just point at the problem. EdgeRed pulled him in with its young team, fast-moving projects, and AI-focused work.
Outside the job, he’s usually cooking, playing whatever sport is on offer, or bringing some dead gadget back to life.
Kiana Bagheri – Data Analyst
Kiana has a background in data science and research, with experience at the University of Sydney as a Data Science Researcher. She holds a Master of Data Science and a Master of Research, with a focus on applying data and AI to real-world problems. She enjoys working with data, solving practical problems, and turning insights into useful outcomes.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, discovering new cafés and restaurants, staying active at the gym, and scuba diving.
