Who won the 2025 EOFY EdgeRed Amazing Race?
At EdgeRed, we work with data, analytics, and AI every day, but at the heart of it all is collaboration, whether it’s solving complex problems with clients or teaming up for a bit of friendly competition. But what makes EdgeRed a Great Place to Work? This end of financial year, to celebrate our talented and creative team, we hit pause on dashboards and sprint planning for a very different kind of sprint: the EdgeRed Amazing Race.
What is the EdgeRed amazing race? – How it works
Designed by our very own Howard Gu, the EdgeRed Amazing Race involved a series of challenges of creativity, collaboration, and slightly chaotic energy. The team was split into six groups and the rules were simple:
- Teams were given a list of unique photo challenges — from posing next to our EdgeRed wall, searching for specific objects, to getting airborne.
- All team members had to be in every photo.
- Points were awarded for each challenge, with extra credit for creativity.
- The team with the most points at the end wins bragging rights (and maybe some snacks)
The Results Are In…
After two hours of racing around the streets of Sydney and Melbourne, phones were full, sneakers were worn, and our work chat was blowing up with photos.

When the points were tallied, we had a tie! Two teams were neck-and-neck at the top of the leaderboard.
The Tiebreaker Showdown
To decide a winner, there was one final challenge:
Recreate a group photo that best represents our EdgeRed slogan — “Empowering tomorrow’s growth with data and AI excellence today.”
